New article about solving negotiation problems

Tobias Langenegger and Michael Ambühl published a new article about solving negotiation problems.

by Andreas Knobel

This article introduces Negotiation Engineering, which is a solution-oriented approach inspired by the engineering method to address negotiation problems by using quantitative methods in a heuristic way. They argue that mathematical language in negotiations helps to increase logical accuracy in negotiation analysis and allows for the use of a variety of existing helpful mathematical tools to achieve a negotiated agreement. This approach is illustrated with cases in the area of international diplomacy, which come from the personal experience of Prof. Ambühl.
